Like vampires, we all have a type. A vampire may prefer A+ blood over B- or O. Us humans, some of us prefer rock over pop, classics over rap, or alternative over mainstream. Whatever our taste, when we put on a party you have to try and mix for everyone.
My Penultimate Halloween Playlist
When we go Halloween camping, we have a very eclectic group of music fans. We have metal fans, classic fans, 1920s fan, alternative fans, J-pop fans, and Disney music fans. Can you imagine trying to ensure there is music for each of those groups on one playlist? Well, we managed to get a mix together that ALL our group enjoys each year! We add new music as it comes out but the core music is on this playlist. Creating this playlist was quite the task!
The music also had to have that Halloween feel to it. So I created what I call the Penultimate Halloween Playlist…and it took me AGES to pull together (well, maybe 4 months to hone it into perfection).
You’ll find the classic Halloween songs of course (no playlist is completed without a few of these: Purple People Eater, Boris the Spider, Thriller, Monster Mash, Werewolves of London, and I put a Spell on you being just a few!). But peppered into this mix you will also find songs that touch the Marilyn Manson fans with remixed editions of songs from A Nightmare Before Christmas. But if you think I stopped there, you got another thing coming! Alice Cooper, The Misfits, The Cramps, Talking Heads, and The Cranberries make their voices known too. And in this mix of all of this you will also find some Outkast and Will Smith. Somehow, this eclectic mix of spooktakular music all flows smoothly together into the amazing 6 hours of music.
