Happy Birthday, Skye!

Skye turned 3 this past weekend! This little lady has grown so much in the last few years. She started out as this terrified of life little pup and is now soaring in the world!

For Skye’s 3rd birthday, I may have gone a little over the top, according to a few people. But it’s her birthday! I saw the tiara and HAD to get it. I dont know if she is as impressed with it as I am, but she got treats when wearing it, so it at least was tolerated.

Missy Skye got herself a little paw-dicure in the morning at Groomingdales. Then, she picked out the goodies for the doggie goodie bags at Three Dog Bakery in Port Moody. And then she went home to snooze before the big dinner!

Dinner for Skye was a joint affair this year with Dad! Both their birthdays fall within 2 days of each other, so getting people together just made sense.

We booked a couple of tables at Trading Post Eatery in Fort Langley for April 5 (Skye’s actual birthday) and invited the friends and family to a party! Little Skye doesn’t love crowds where she is the focus, but she did quite well for this soire.

We set up the ballooms and the presents and started the feast!

Missy Skye even got to sit up at the table for dinner and gobble down some burger and fries! Mmmmm, yummy! Then, of course, Grandma K feeds her the strawberries from her sangria. All the yummy goodness of sweet strawberries for the birthday girl.

After dinner comes present time!

Puppy presents for Princess Skye are best in bags and tissue or easy open boxes. She sticks that nose right in there to get to the goods. Lots of Lamb Chop, Zazu ropes, Broncos jerseys, and goodies here we go! Princess Skye was certainly spoiled rotten. And Dad? Oh, he got spoiled to! He got a few things he’s over the moon about (I think he is still in shock over one particular gift).

Like all good parties, they eventually end. But we have to have a desert first! Three Dog Bakery made a beautiful (and Skye says delicious!) Bone cake.

Happy 3rd Birthday, baby girl!
