We love Taves. I’m sure you have all figured that out by now. What we really love about Taves is their creativity in including ALL memebers of the family in their events!
Kids always get easter hunts but what about the pups? Taves does BOTH! We booked our Easter hunt for Skye about a month ago when the tickets got released and have counted down the days eagerly.

Last year we visited with some friends and their children, who had a blast. They have an orchard set up with plastic eggs and a golden egg for prizes. Well, this year even the dogs get to sniff out some eggs in their own egg hunt yard! Skye made quick work to find the treat egg in the grass and got herself a rope carrot as her prize.
We started our treat hunt at the ticket booth where Cookie Pal Oreo cookies were given for the pups and maps to the rest of the goodies. Well, when someone hands me oreo cookies and tells me they’re dog treats I get a little skeptical….so I ate one. Much to Skye’s dismay it is a DOG SAFE OREO! It really did taste just like an oreo…so it became mine. Skye was not impressed with me eating her cookies. She had to agree to share the second one with me in order to get any.
Stop 2 is the u-pick hut where we took some photos on the easter bench and sampled some hot and cold apple cider. This place has the most amazing Apple cider ever. All fresh and variety in how you want it…so good. And for Skye? She got Apple Chips!
Homemade fresh apple chips from the apple orchard. Now that’s a good treat for a pup! Skye LOVES the apple chips. She tends to bee-line for the apple chip bags in the store, so this goodie was a perfect start to the treats.

Stop 3. We saved for last (who wants the most delicious stop in the middle). So we skipped ahead to 4, the country store!
The store gave us more goodies for stop 4. A couple of jerky pieces to get the tongue wagging around the store. We picked up an Apple Pie for an Easter desert and an apple cider slushie… Oh my goodness, was that slusgie delicious! Crisp fresh apple flavor in a slushie. It was to die for!
While wandering, when one has a refreshment, the other person needs one to! So we stopped by the concession stand to trade our last drink ticket for the festive and delicious Bunnylicious Delight! It is a sweet and tart, berry refreshing slushing that is packed with candy goodies! Topped with a Peep and a Lollipop straw, this slushie is a quick favorite for kids and adults.

And then on to Farmville for stop 5 where beef sticks are the name of the game. Farmville has a little bit of everything for everyone – particularly for those little kiddos! Pillow jumpers, racing carts, petting stations, and all sorts of fun was set up for the tiny humans.
We made a quick pit stop at Cinderella’s carriage to visit Peter Rabbit for some pictures. Then snuck some pets in on the baby goats before venturing down into the farmyard. Geese honked all the way, a few piggies sleeping in the hay, and a peacock waiting for some visitors to say hi. We swung up to the tractor for some pictures in the sun before moseying over to our next stop.

Stop numbers 6 is the egg hunt! Tire the kids (and dogs) by walking down to the orchard. A few rows of orchard stocked with plastic eggs for kids to collect and trade for prizes greet you at the gate.
And for the pups? This year, they set up a little yard for the puppy treat hunt! Find the plastic egg with the treat in it, and the pup gets the goodie AND a toy! A rope carrot to take home for some afternoon chews!
We caught the hay ride back up to the top of the farm before heading over to our last stop.

Stop number 3 was the Taves Cidery (which is why we decided to do 3 last!) where they have snacky yummy goodies for the peoples and a Bojito (bone broth mojito) for the pups. Skye loves the Bojitos. She made such a mess! And of course when you’re feeling festive you need a festive drink. Enter the Blissful Bunny! A sweet and tart berry concoction of deliciousness. We played some connect 4 at the table while we waited for our churros and drinks.
And finally, we turned in our completed treat pass card to enter for a gift basket draw! What a fun way to kick off the easter weekend!
